I decided to redesign the BBC iPlayer iOS UI, whilst I was catching up on Top Gear. The clumsy interface has quite a lot going on with menu at the bottom, the search bar right beneath the additional top bar navigation.
How about simplifying it? Introduce a Facebook-like Sidebar Navigation, move the top and bottom menu bar there, get rid of the search bar and replace it with a search icon instead.
Boom! A clean user interface!
